wet tree

wet tree - - Colloquial term used to describe a thinking processes logic diagram that is not very tight from a logical perspective.

Usage: A wet tree has long arrows (i.e., gaps in logic), errors in logic, or both. The process of scrutiny is used to improve the logic and produce what is then referred to as a dry tree, i.e., one with tight logic. Ant.: dry tree.
